We encourage you to coordinate
your preferred play date with your friends before you register, so that we can spend our time on devising devious
devices instead of verifying groups' schedules ("Dick wants to play on
Friday with Jane, but Jane wants to play on Saturday with Spot, while Spot's got
a dog show that weekend and wants to play with Dick and Jane the following
weekend.").
* Note: The run scheduled for
October 8th will be a
playtest run. This is a form of dress rehearsal. The first run with real people
helps us fine-tune the game (the phrase "guinea pigs" comes to mind).
Cost for the playtest run will be $10 instead of the usual $20 for Fridays and
$25 for Saturdays.

Does it
matter which date you play? Are any dates out of the question?
Are you interested in being part of the
cast (i.e., playing a bit part that the characters run into) for any runs? If so, which of the play dates are you available?
Typically we cast
Whatelys (or any larp, for that matter) by asking a variety of
questions related to what types of plots and activities the
character has been written to be involved in, so we can spend lots of
time mapping out the best overall fit of player preferences to
character qualities.
That seems rather unnecessary to us this
time, given
the characters in this game.
So, we're going to cast this one
differently.
As part of registration, we are collecting
every player's character preferences,.
As soon as possible [which should
generally be at least two weeks prior to each run and for
many runs it will be shortly after registration opens :-) ], we
will determine which players will be playing in a given run.
Using players' preferences, we'll put
together a "suggested casting" for the run.
We will email the players of the run our
suggested casting along with everyone's preferences.
With the consensus of the group, the
casting can be changed. Final casting must be communicated to us
at least a week before the run [we won't send out character sheets
until we've received it].
The identity of the Special Guest Star(s)
must be approved by us at least one week before the run.
For those groups which will entirely fill a
run (the Albany Street Gamers and Aaron & Alan's gang come to
mind), we're happy to skip the "suggested casting" step if
you'd prefer to cast yourselves, so we don't get in the middle of any
fights over who gets
to play Shaggy. :-)
Use 1 to 5 to indicate your level of interest in playing the
various members of the Gang (1 = "I'd rather not", 5 =
"Oh, yeah!").

If you had to play a Special Guest,
who would it be? What qualities do they have that you think fits in to
the Scooby Doo universe, and what would you personally find enjoyable
about playing them? Please fill this out even if you'd vastly
prefer to play one of the Gang.
Anything else we should know?
Bonus essay question:
What exactly is IN those Scooby Snacks?
Bonus essay question:
What would YOU have gotten away with, if it wasn't for those meddling
kids?
(Required!) I understand that I will sign a waiver at
the game and that Dig and Gail cannot guarantee that no accidents will happen during the game. I
am mature enough to deal with that, and I am over eighteen or have the approval of a parent.
