Mysteries are hidden beneath the burning sands of Egypt and
in the cliffs overlooking the life-giving Nile. Mysteries, great riches,
and priceless artifacts--all from the powerful and long-dead culture of the
divine Pharaohs.
Noted Egyptology-enthusiast Branwell Whately has brought
together an impressive team for his 1938 expedition. He has chosen a
remote location for this year's dig, in the hopes of finding the tomb of a
legendary Egyptian princess. After weeks of back-breaking effort, the
expedition has at last unearthed a chamber into the cliff wall. Is this
the tomb of the long-lost princess? Is the burial chamber and the mummy
intact--or was the sepulcher plundered by ancient thieves? Tonight the
team will unseal the tomb and discover its secrets!

The Curse of Whately's Mummy
An Exercise in Interactive Literature written and produced by
Fête Fatale Productions
The Curse of Whately's Mummy
is a single-evening live-action role-playing adventure for twelve players.
Players will actually be exploring a facsimile of an Egyptian tomb,
complete with tunnels and secret doors and the like. The game is inspired
by the classic mummy horror movies from Hammer Films and Universal, and in the
spirit of the Indiana Jones adventures (although our budget isn't even Hammer
Horror-sized). We have THREE runs scheduled for this Halloween season--October
13th, 14th, and 27th, 2000, at a private home in Inverness, Ill. Each run will begin at 8pm
and end around 12 midnight. These runs are full.
Do you dare risk the mummy's
curse?
